RIFT IN THE ICE is a contemporary, authentic, raw fairytale set on the outskirts of Belgrade. The film addresses the issue of women's integrity in a materialistic, competitive world filled with aggression and exaggerated ambition. Outlining the scope of degradation and exploitation of women through various social ranks, the film will blend extreme poverty and glamour. The film explores women's sexuality in a world obsessed with sex, where it is often used as a tool for power play. With all the expectations and judging, it is very complex for a woman to find her sexuality. The film lies in the clash of the pressure from the outside, and the flaming inside, in this trembling of the body and soul. The film intends to capture real life, presenting it as authentic and raw without moralising or judging. RIFT IN THE ICE, above all, explores love in a harsh environment and its power to help us discover and accept ourselves.
