The suicide of the son of a a local power broker in Subotica, the suicide capital of Serbia, does not appear to be a complicated case for police to solve – except to Sonja Kljun, a young police detective sent from Belgrade to calm down the inconsolable father. The time spent in Subotica will change Sonja’s life, especially after she and her ten-year-old daughter start having terrifying nightmares that sometimes come true. Accepting her unusual gift will help Sonja uncover a dangerous conspiracy hidden behind the alleged suicide – as well as a deeply buried secret from her past.

Directors
Jelena Gavrilović studied film and television directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Her student films BOYS, WHERE ARE YOU and WITH MANY THINGS TO COME were screened at and won awards from a number of international film festivals. Her graduation film NOBODY HERE had its premiere at the Locarno Festival. In 2013, she directed the first web series in the Balkans, #JUSTSAYING, which received the prestigious Satellite Award for Original New Format and many other prizes.
Uroš Tomić studied architecture prior to graduating film and television directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. In 2010, he produced narrative feature TILVA ROS, one of the most successful Serbian films to date. He is the creator, show runner and conceptual director of crime/drama series GRUPA, premiered at the 2019 Sarajevo Film Festival. Serbia’s public broadcaster, Radio-Television of Serbia, aired the show in late 2019 and it had the top ratings.
