BAD BLOOD follows three generations of one family, tracing their financial, moral and physical decline. Trifun, the wealthy leader of a Christian minority, represents the first generation of the family. His personal drama is reflected in his struggle to meet moral and social standards despite his personal weakness, which leads him to decisions that have disastrous impact on his family. His son, Mita, does not want to participate in his father’s dirty dealings. Class struggle is the defining feature of his generation. After losing his wealth, Mita is forced to marry off his daughter Sofka in order to survive. She faces utter financial and moral ruin. Although she is burdened by the sins of her forefathers, Sofka attempts to rise above the social and historic troubles of her generation, and decides to run away with her son in search of a better future, leaving behind the ruins of her family.

Directors
Milutin Petrović has directed five narrative feature films and almost every known form of television content. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the online New Radio Belgrade and the author of numerous books and articles. He has received numerous awards for his work. Since May 2017 he has been working as a standing professor at the Faculty of Economy, Finance and Administration.
Goran Stanković holds a masters degree in film directing from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His master thesis film, WAY IN RYE, was nominated for the Student Academy Award in the best narrative short category. His two narrative feature films, WHO GUARDS THE GUARDIANS and OLD MOUNTAIN, were screened in over 50 international festivals, winning 17 awards. His debut feature documentary, IN THE DARK, had the world premiere at the 2014 International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam and went on to score a number of awards in the US and Europe.
